Alma develops low and zero-emissions energy solutions for maritime applications, specifically within fuel cells. The acquisition includes Alma’s technology portfolio and all the company’s 35 employees, currently based in Bergen, Norway.
CVL Engineering specializes in the development of complex technical solutions and prototypes, and is currently working on several specific engineering projects with Aker BP. The acquisition includes all CVL Engineering’s 17 employees, currently based in Bergen, Norway, in addition to the engineering project portfolio.

The expertise within the Alma and CVL Engineering organizations is relevant for the energy transition, and Aker Solutions will now seek to integrate this expertise into our portfolio of energy projects”, says Silje Skarstein, location manager for Aker Solutions Bergen.

The Alma transaction was completed in early September, and the CVL Engineering transaction is expected to close in early October.
